We understand that many patients may have concerns about returning to the practice. We would like to reassure you that we take safety of our patients and our team extremely seriously. Dental practices have always been regarded as a very safe place for patients to be treated in with the high levels of disinfection protocols we follow. Indeed, our standards are 2nd only to hospital operating theatres.
We have made some changes to your patient journey. Please follow our instructions.
Important safety changes:
Pre appointment Covid19 screening: all patients are telephone-triaged BEFORE attending
New smartphone app for the Medical History form: to ensure it is safe for you to attend
Pre appointment travel: We ask all patients to travel safely, on time and alone (unless a parent or carer is required) to ensure the smooth running of the diary
- Temperature check with a digital touch-free thermometer
- Hand gel and mask required before entry
- Social distancing
- Sneeze screen
- All non-essential items have removed
- One in, One out policy
- No-touch policy for forms and payments
- In Surgery: Pre-treatment anti-viral mouth rinse
- Enhanced PPE
- Enhanced Infection Control procedures
We are following all Government and NHS guidance for best practice, this maximises safety and minimises risk.
Fees: We were forced to close our practice for 3 months and this has caused a huge financial challenge. Despite this, we have decided to keep our treatment fees the same. If you are having an aerosol generating procedure (eg filling, scaling) we will be using enhanced PPE and so there will be a PPE fee of £10-40 per appointment. We will let you know the fee beforehand.
